Description
The black-necked stilt (Himantopus mexicanus) is an uncommon resident of Galapagos. It uses aline and freshwater habitats throughout the islands. It probes the mud for a range of aquatic invertebrates – mainly crustaceans and other arthropods, mollusks, and small fish.
