Description
The swallow-tailed gull (Creagrus furcatus) is endemic to the Galapagos Islands. They feed primarily on squid and fish at the water surface at night; nocturnal feeding is unusal among gulls. They perch and preen along the rocky shorelines and make nests on rocks and sandy flats of the islands.
