The Canna Lily is a tropical perennial shrub that produces big leaves shaped like paddles and bright flowers that grow in a group on a tall stem. The leaves and flowers are both valued for their garden interest. Not a true lily, they are related to the gingers, bananas, heliconias, and birds of paradise.
